What is Industrial Monitoring?
Managing Industrial Operations
for Minimum Equipment Downtime!
Industrial equipment monitoring refers to the process of using sensors, software, and other technologies to track and analyze the performance and health of industrial equipment, such as machinery, mechanical chillers/freezers, pumps, generators, sewer lift stations, sports safety lighting and other assets. Industrial equipment monitoring systems, powered by GeoArm Security, can collect and analyze data in real-time to detect issues and potential failures, which can help companies prevent costly downtime and maintenance repairs. By monitoring equipment performance, machine operators and managers can also optimize energy usage, identify bottlenecks, and improve overall efficiency.
Industrial equipment monitoring can result in significant cost savings for businesses as it helps to prevent equipment failure and downtime, which can be expensive to repair and can result in lost productivity. According to a study, companies that use automated equipment monitoring experience a 16% reduction in unscheduled downtime and a 15% increase in productivity over companies that rely on manual inspection and maintenance. Additionally, industrial equipment monitoring can help to extend the lifespan of the equipment and reduce the need for costly repairs, resulting in further cost savings over time.

General Steps for Industrial Monitoring?
Step 1. An industrial sensor (e.g. Uplink 5500M) is triggered and is transmitted from the industrial panel to the end user and/or GeoArm 24/7 Pro central monitoring station over the AT&T/Verizon 5G LTE-M cellular network.
Step 2. If the industrial alarm signal is either confirmed valid, or if the end user is unreachable when the operator attempts to contact them, then dispatching procedures will occur (e.g. facility manager, local authorities, or emergency services, as required).
