What is Medical Alert Monitoring?

Provides Elderly Safety

for Immediate Assistance!

Medical alert monitoring, also known as personal emergency response systems (PERS), is a crucial technology designed to provide peace of mind and safety for individuals who may be at risk of medical emergencies. These systems typically consist of a wearable alert button, often fashioned as a necklace or bracelet, and a base unit that connects to a monitoring center. The alert button is a lifeline for users, allowing them to call for help with a simple press in the event of a fall, sudden illness, or any other emergency. The base unit communicates with a 24/7 monitoring center staffed by trained operators who can assess the situation and dispatch emergency services if needed. This immediate response capability is invaluable for seniors or individuals with medical conditions who live alone, offering them the security of knowing help is just a button press away.

GeoArm offers medical alert monitoring services that integrate seamlessly with their 24/7 professional central station monitoring. This service is particularly beneficial for the elderly who wish to maintain their independence and continue living at home rather than moving to a nursing facility. With no long-term contracts, GeoArm provides flexible and affordable monitoring plans, ensuring that users receive the necessary support without financial strain. The system is designed to be user-friendly, making it accessible for individuals who may not be tech-savvy. By providing a reliable and efficient way to summon help, medical alert monitoring systems empower users to live with confidence and security, knowing that assistance is always within reach.

General Steps for PERS Monitoring?

Step 1. A medical pendant is triggered and is transmitted to the GeoArm 24/7 central monitoring station.

Step 2. The GeoArm operator then goes through the documented call list (or if applicable the two-way voice device itself) and calls the user to verify if the medical alarm requires response.

Step 3. If medical signal is either confirmed valid, or if the end user is unreachable when the operator attempts to contact them, then dispatching procedures will occur.
