GeoArm is proud to have partnered with Honeywell’s AlarmNet to offer a joint dual (Internet backed by cellular) alarm communication path. The IGSMV connects to compatible Honeywell alarm control panels with an easy 4-wire connection, providing an easy streamlined installation for those customers looking to have their security system monitored over the Internet instead of a traditional phone line. All that is required is a broadband internet connection plugged into the IGSMV. The internet side of the communicator is designed for true plug-and-play capability. No technical router setup is required.

What makes the IGSMV stand out from all other alarm communicators on the market today is its exclusive triple-path communication feature. While the internet is the most cost effective alarm communication path, it can be prone to line tampering and service outages. The cellular Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) network on the other hand is more expensive but a much more reliable path. GSM is the dominant mobile phone system worldwide and has two different paths within one network. The IGSMV communicator uses both the primary Internet and the backup cellular GSM network to provide the most affordable and reliable communication path available. The main communication path of the IGSMV is the internet, allowing for less expensive monitoring rates; while the dual GSM technology serves as a back-up in the event the internet goes down. If the internet does go down, the IGSMV uses General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) as the secondary path and Short Messaging Service (SMS) as the tertiary path in the event that both the internet and cellular GPRS fails. By combining your broadband internet network and the cellular GSM network, the IGSMV is GeoArm’s most recommended alarm communicator

Once installed, your Ademco security system will deliver all alarm signals through the IGSMV communicator to Honeywell’s AlarmNet Network Control Center, which automatically and immediately routes the information to GeoArm's Central Station. The state of the art AlarmNet Network Control Center is fully redundant and monitored 24/7. AlarmNet has the ability to route messages using AlarmNet-i and 800 PLUS services, providing true redundancy and multi-path message delivery.

GeoArm is able to dial into your control panel’s programming to perform remote service once you have installed your IGSMV alarm communicator. GeoArm technicians can make advanced technical programming changes in minutes through your AlarmNet communicator. Never pay for an expensive house service call again.

AlarmNet Interactive Alarm Monitoring (Total Connect):
The IGSMV dual path (IP & GSM) alarm communicator not only gives you the flexibility to eliminate your phone line, it also provides you with the ability to get more out of your wireless security system. With each of the AlarmNet communicators (IP, Cellular and Dual Path), you have the option to add GeoArm's interactive alarm monitoring service (Honeywell’s Total Connect service) to your alarm monitoring plan.

With interactive alarm monitoring you will be provided with a web based log-in that will allow you to:
  • Control your alarm system with a virtual keypad
  • Arm/Disarm your system with a text message
  • Set up email notifications for up to (8) system events
  • Log onto your Total Connect account through a compatible PDA or cell phone
