The Honeywell VISTA20P-DP-LTE-IV-HBDSWAP is a VISTA 20P dual-path hybrid (w/6160RF hardwired keypad and wireless receiver) security system kit designed for multiple (internet IP/cellular Verizon LTE) alarm communications to the GeoArm central monitoring station. The VISTA 20P is a high-capacity, feature-rich, 48-zones control panel that delivers more value to the DiYer.
The VISTA 20P comes with 8 on-board hardwired zones (up to 15 with zone doubling), up to 40 hardwired zones with expansion (8 on-board zones + 32 expansion zones = 40 total hardwired zones), and up to 40 wireless expansion zones (using the 6160RF keypad's wireless receiver). Additionally, the VISTA 20P supports up to 16 wireless keyfobs, up to 48 user codes and up to 32 schedules. With the VISTA 20P panel you get remote programming capability, graphic keypad support and 2 partitions. Honeywell VISTA 20P Dual-Path Hybrid Security System DiY Installation Notes:
To complete your DiY hybrid security system installation, first wall-mount the VISTA 20P control panel. Next, wall-mount the 6160RF keypad close to the VISTA 20P control panel. Finally, connect the LTE-IV dual-path (internet IP/cellular Verizon LTE) alarm communicator to the VISTA 20P control panel. Please take note that you will need an AlarmNet dual-path alarm monitoring account activated to work with GeoArm's central station.
When designing your system, keep in mind that the Honeywell VISTA 20P security system supports up to forty-eight (48) total zones with expansion modules but only supports eight (8) hardwired zones without expansion. You should add the Honeywell 4219 hardwired 8-zone expansion modules if you want to add more than eight (8) hardwired zones to your VISTA 20P security system. Also, remember you can use the 6160RF keypad's RF receiver to easily expand your VISTA 20P by up to 40 wireless zones. This VISTA 20P hybrid security system kit comes equipped to send its alarm signals over the dual-path (internet IP/cellular Verizon LTE) network(s). The Honeywell LTEM-PIV dual-path alarm communicator sends your alarm signals over the primary internet communication path, and if down, over the backup cellular Verizon LTE communication path to the GeoArm central monitoring station.
With an AlarmNet alternative communicator in place (such as the LTEM-PIV), you would no longer need traditional phone service at the property to monitor your VISTA 20P security system. The alternative communicator would also allow you to upgrade to GeoArm's Total Connect interactive alarm monitoring services, which enables you to receive important alerts, keep a close eye on your home and control your hybrid security system remotely via the internet and/or mobile devices you use each and every day.
