The 2GIG-DW30-345 is a outdoor wireless door and window contact that expands the reach of 2GIG security systems. The 2GIG-DW30-345 provides timely notification when outdoor gates or doors are opened. With the ability to handle harsh temperature conditions, this outdoor sensor is ideal for wide gaps when a typical contact sensor is insufficient.
The 2GIG-DW30-345 communicates with the 2GIG control panel using the 345 MHz frequency. When the magnet (which is mounted near the sensor) moves away from or closer to the door contact's sensor, signals are transmitted to the control panel. The sensor also has an external input that accepts connections from Normally Closed (NC) dry contact devices. For added protection, it is also equipped with a cover and wall tamper.
When mounting the sensor make sure it is within 100 ft (30 m) of the control panel. Although the transmitter may have a range of 350 ft (106.7 m) open air, the sensor location can have a significant effect on range. In open / unobstructed situations, the transmitter range may be greater. In adverse wireless conditions, changing the sensor orientation may lead to improved range. The preferred mounting distance between the sensor and magnet is 1/4 inch, however the maximum gap is 2 inches.
Sensor enables a wide gap (2 inch) enabling sensing for applications from yard gates, and swimming pool access to detached garages.
Designed for extreme weather conditions (IP56) (-40° to 150°F)
Sends a notification to the alarm panel when a door, gate or window is opened or closed.
Enables two unique zones. One is for an internal magnetic reed switch while the second is for a normally-closed circuit that can have external devices wired to it.
