The Jasco 28170 is a Z-Wave Plus plug-in dual outlet smart dimmer module that allows remote operation of two devices at the same time. Using the Jasco 28170 you can wirelessly schedule and control two lamps or small appliances separately or together from anywhere, at any time with any mobile device. With a space-saving design, it does not block the second outlet or obstruct furniture placement.
Dim and control your lights, small fans and other appliances, schedule a timed event, create a custom scene from anywhere in the world, at any time of the day, and charge your mobile devices from your smartphones, tablets, PCs and Z-Wave enabled remotes. Smart Dimmer is ideal for lamps and small appliances such as fans, heaters, co ee makers, etc. Works with dimmable LED, CFL, halogen, and incandescent bulbs. Dimmable Bulbs are Required for Dimming. If used with non dimming bulbs you may experience flickering, buzzing, and limited functionality.
Smart Dimmer Plug features two (2) polarized outlets that are controlled together (not individually controlled). Manual On/O /Dimming physical button is located on the top of the plug in module. The JAS-28170 dimmer adjusts brightness levels from 0-100 percent, which reduces energy costs and improves bulb life. No wiring required. Simply plug in the device and connect to your hub for dimming capabilities. To retain the full benefit of LED, CFL, incandescent and halogen lights, the smart dimmer supports all types of dimmable light sources.
Z-Wave Plus works with all previous Z-Wave generations to allow continued expansion of your smart-home network. The 28170 dimmer is capable of controlling indoor fixtures for whole-home automation and repeats your Z-Wave signal from your hub or other devices to extend your range by up to 150ft.

Jasco 28170 Product Configuration:
- Adding your device to a Z-Wave network - Once the hub is ready to add your smart dimmer, press and release the top button on the smart dimmer to add it in the network.
- To remove and reset the device - Once the controller is ready to remove your device, press and release the top button on the smart dimmer to remove it from the network.
- To return to factory defaults - If plugged in, unplug from the receptacle. Press and hold the top button for at least 3 seconds while you plug the dimmer into the receptacle.

I purchased this dimmer to control the LED lights, These paired up within a few seconds and have great range given that they are the Z Wave Plus. The first impression, is these are great, better, and cheaper than others. I will continue to try a few more of these as I outfit my entire home.
