HSM2208 - DSC Low-Current Output Module (for PowerSeries Neo Control Panels)
DSC HSM2208 Product Description:
The DSC HSM2208 is a low current output expander module that can provide 8 programmable low voltage outputs to compatible DSC PowerSeries Neo HS2016, HS2032, HS2064 and HS2128 alarm control panels. The HSM2208 can connect up to 16 modules per system.
The DSC PowerSeries HS2016 Neo can add up to 2 HSM2208 modules. The DSC PowerSeries HS2032 Neo can add up to 4 HSM2208 modules. The DSC PowerSeries Neo HS2064 panel can add up to 8 modules per system. And the DSC PowerSeries Neo HS2128 panel can add up to 16 modules per system.
The HSM2208 is a fully supervised for AC failure, low battery and AUX failure. The HSM2208 is equipped with a status LED to indicate the current condition of the module. If the HSM2208 is operating correctly, the status LED flashes briefly every 10 seconds. When a trouble condition is present, the status LED displays a series of flashes then remains blank for 1.5 seconds.
There is a built-in tamper switch on the expander module located in the top left corner of the circuit board. The HSM2208 may be installed within the same metallic cabinet as the alarm controller/power supply or in a separate enclosure. Internal and/or external wiring for this module shall be routed, supported, clamped or secured in a manner that reduces the likelihood of; excessive strain on wire and on terminal connections, loosening of terminal connections, and damge of conductor insulation. Tamper protection switches can be installed on all enclosures, including door opening protection and/or removal from the mounting position. Doors can secured using screws or keylock.
There are two terminals for AUX power to provide easier wiring. These terminals are used to provide power for devices. Maximum current draw is not to exceed 250 mA. The 4-wire Corbus connection is used by the panel to communicate with the module. Connect the RED, BLK, YEL and GRN terminals to the Corbus terminals on the DSC PowerSeries Neo main control.

I wisely purchased the DSC and I managed to install it and configure it with my systems within 30 minutes or so. It was straightforward and I liked that the 4 wires were solid copper wires which made it easy to fit into the corresponding junction in the panel.
