The Telguard GDC1 is a Z-Wave garage door control switch compatible with any automatic garage door opener connected to a sectional garage door with all entrapment protections in place. Use the GDC1 with your home automation system to receive notifications if the garage door has been opened when it shouldn't be, ensure the garage door is closed at a specific time every night or even reclosed after a fixed amount of time every morning. If your Z-Wave gateway has a mobile app, you can remotely control or monitor the garage door from anywhere.
The GDC1 works with any Z-Wave system, but it works best with Telguard's HomeControl interactive service offered through GeoArm. Currently available for DSC IMPASSA and PowerSeries security panels, as well as the 2GIG Go!Control wireless control panel, users of Telguard HomeControl have the ability to remotely arm and disarm their security systems, turn on and off lights, access locks, adjust thermostats, watch video, and now control their garage door.
The GDC1 meets UL 325 safety guidelines for unattended operation. The unit provides five seconds of audible and visual warnings prior to remote movement. It also has the ability to cancel movement locally during the warning period. Finally, it suspends unattended operation after two consecutive failed closing attempts.
Furthermore, HomeControl offers the ability to tie into all of the security panel's sensors, such as motion detectors, door and window contacts, etc.
Compatible with any Z-Wave controller supporting the binary switch command class.
