GE Interlogix's full-featured Concord 4 hybrid security system delivers full-featured, hardwired/wireless, modular security solutions for intrusion and fire detection. The Concord 4 is easy to install and simple to use and comes standard with hardwired zones and wireless zones without needing any expansion modules. The Concord 4 hybrid security system supports (8) hardwired zones and (96) wireless zones out of the box. To expand the amount of hardwired zones you can use the GE Interlogix 8-zone input SnapCard or the SuperBus 2000 input module. The Concord 4's installation advantages, innovative end-user benefits and robust system capacity make the value-priced security system an ideal choice for higher-end installations.
This Concord 4 hybrid security system kit comes equipped to send its alarm signals over a traditional phone line. The Concord 4 has also been proven to work reliably with certain VoIP providers. The recommended VoIP providers are Comcast Digital Voice®, AT&T U-verse®, Verizon FiOS®, Time Warner Cable®, Cablevision®, Charter®, Cox®, and Bright House Networks®. All of these VoIP providers use an independent IP network which makes their service compatible. Unfortunately, popular VoIP providers such as Vonage®, Ooma® and Magic Jack® are uncompatible for alarm monitoring services. So, if you are going to use VoIP alarm monitoring, please make sure your VoIP provider is on the above list.
If you have never had a monitored security system installed at your property, you will need to run a phone connection from a live phone jack to the alarm control panel. You also need to make sure your phone service has long distance turned on. If you have VoIP service, you need to make sure that the VoIP service is live at the jack you are plugging the alarm control panel into.
With the rise in cell phone use, more and more people are looking to save money by eliminating their traditional phone service. The Concord 4 hybrid security system allows you to eliminate your monthly phone bill and still get low-cost professional alarm monitoring. You can upgrade the system with an Alarm.com cellular 3G alarm communicator (600-1053-3ZWAVEAT) which would make the installation of the security system easier as you wouldn't have to run a phone wire from your phone block to the Concord 4 control panel. The cellular alarm communicator sends your alarm signals over the cellular 3G AT&T network and you would no longer need traditional phone service to monitor your security system. Additionally, the 600-1053-3ZWAVEAT cellular communicator would also allow you to upgrade to GeoArm's Alarm.com interactive alarm monitoring services, which enable you to receive important alerts, keep a close eye on your home and control your security system remotely via the internet and/or mobile devices. Isn't it time you got connected? Save money and take control of your home security with GeoArm.
