The Honeywell TCAT-EB is an extended battery tracker that is recommended for non-powered applications designed for heavy machinery and equipment, freight containers, and general valuables. The TCAT-EB has an internal 6600 ma rechargeable battery for applications requiring longer battery life (may last up to two years, depending upon the activity use of the asset).
When the asset starts moving, the tracker will record a "movement initiated" event on the GPS web interface and a TC2 notification will be generated to report "Asset Start." When the asset stops moving, the tracker will record a "movement concluded" event on the GPS web interface and a TC2 notification will be generated to report "Asset Stop." The tracker does not provide breadcrumb location updates. This tracker is intended for use on assets that are not expected to be moved much. If the asset will be moved frequently, the tracker should be connected to a power source. The GPS tracking device gathers position data from the GPS satellites. This information along with other asset data (such as; start/stop, speed, low battery, etc.) is then communicated, using CDMA cellular technology, to Honeywell's AlarmNet monitoring center.
The customer can monitor this information using their Total Connect Remote Services® account. Note: Total Connect 2.0 Remote Services are required to use this tracker.
