HSM2108 - DSC Hardwired 8-Zone Alarm Expansion Module (for PowerSeries Neo Control Panels)
DSC HSM2108 Product Description:
The DSC HSM2108 is an 8-zone expansion module that can be used to extend up to additional 8 hardwired input zones onto compatible DSC PowerSeries Neo hardwired control panel (e.g. HS2016, HS2032, HS2064, HS2128). Connect up to 15 total HSM2108 modules per PowerSeries Neo system. The HSM2108 supports no end-of-line, single end-of-line and double end-of-line zone loops (5,600 Ohm resistors).
The HSM2108 module may be installed in the same metallic cabinet as the alarm controller/power supply or in a separate enclosure (PC4003C). Internal and/or external wiring for the HSM2108 shall be routed, supported, clamped or secured in a manner that reduces the likelihood of (a) excessive strain on wire and termal connections, (b) loosening of terminal connections, and (c) damage of conductor insulation.
The HSM2108 supports no end-of-line, single end-of-line and double end-of-line zone loops (5,600 Ohm resistors). There is a built-in tamper switch on the expander module located in the top left corner of the HSM2108 circuit board. Tamper protection switches can be installed on all enclosures, including door opening protection and/or removal from the mounting position. Doors shall be secued using screws or keylock.
The HSM2108 is equipped with a status LED to indicate the current status of the module. If the HSM2108 is operating correctly, the status LED will flash briefly every 10 seconds. When a trouble condition is present, the status LED will display a series of flashes then remain black for 1.7 seconds.
